Unlocking Nintedo Wii Games

Cheats For Call Of Duty 5 On Wii…
(SkyNewswire.com)- Coming to two years after its launch, the consoles continue to be going great guns. Of late though, new releases of Wii games such as Wii Fit, Blast Works, We Ski and so forth are looking like the Wii is finally coming into its own in that area too. If there had been any lessons learnt from the launch of the consoles, top on the list should be the pliant issues. The premium pricing of Wii video games does not help things either.

The price of the games adds up quickly as more and more of them are pumped out and it does not look like the cost of the games is coming down soon. Games Download Service sites are found all over the shop on the net.

Modern Warefare 2 is probably the best

Modern Warefare 2 is probably the best must-own video game of 2009

Modern Warfare 2 arrives riding a wave of hype unprecedented in the world of video games. The original Modern Warfare became one of the sleeper hits of the decade, steadily gaining in sales and word-of-mouth to become one of the top-selling first person action shooters of all time.

The latest Modern Warfare went on sale this past Tuesday. Retail giant Wal-Mart had its supplies ready to go at midnight on Monday. Popular video game retailer GameStop had its doors open at midnight across the nation as well, hosting parties as eager gamers waited in line for their copy. 4.7 million copies were reportedly sold on Tuesday alone in the U.S. and the U.K., equaling $310 million at the register. That total easily beats the previous one-day record holder, Grand Theft Auto IV, which sold 3.6 million copies in May 2008.

It starts with the single-player campaign.  I bet  you won’t find a game this intense on today’s market. Unlike its predecessor with its fictional Middle Eastern setting, Modern Warefare 2 drops you into the real-life war-torn country of Afghanistan and doesn’t let up. At its core, MW2 follows a very similar formula to the original Modern Warefare since you are guided through thrilling set pieces in a linear, dramatic fashion. If you want to follow a gripping, straight-forward action story, this is the game you should buy.
Real world locations range from the Middle East to snowy mountainsides, and the action hardly ever lets up. As in the original Modern Warefare, you’ll play several different story arcs, all aimed to stop a war and take the bad guy down.

TIME Magazine Names EnergyHub Dashboard a Best Invention of 2009

EnergyHub’s Dashboard has been chosen by Time Magazine as a Best Invention, the magazine announced Thursday. The touchscreen Dashboard, which combines temperature control and comprehensive home energy management in one easy-to-use device, was praised by Time for its ability to “rein in the real power hogs” in a user’s home.

As the centerpiece of EnergyHub’s innovative solution, the Dashboard tracks and manages energy use of the entire home, and of individual appliances, in real time. The Dashboard also allows utilities to communicate messages and pricing directly to their customers, a breakthrough that facilitates better service and energy savings for providers and consumers.

The EnergyHub Dashboard “is something I saw demonstrated earlier this year and it blew me away,” says Lev Grossman, senior writer at Time and editor of the magazine’s annual Best Inventions issue. “In a car you can usually see how much gas you’re using. With electricity in a home, you never could before. But now… in real time you can, using EnergyHub, and I think it’s going to save America billions and billions of dollars.”

The Dashboard is currently deployed in utility pilots in the US and will be available direct to consumers early next year. “This is going to be in homes in 2010, and it should have a huge impact,” says Josh Tyrangiel, Time deputy managing editor and managing editor of Time.com.

“It’s very exciting to be named a Best Invention by such a prestigious publication,” says EnergyHub CEO Seth Frader-Thompson. “I think it also speaks to the demand of the market. Both utilities and consumers want to be able to take action to increase energy efficiency and save money. At EnergyHub, we have been working very hard to deliver practical and valuable solutions, so it’s particularly gratifying to receive this honor.”

Xbox Project Natal makes TIME’s 50 best inventions

Looks like there are new reports that Project Natal is set for launch in November 2010 for about $80.

Project Natal, the controllerless gaming interface Microsoft is developing for Xbox 360, made TIME magazine’s list of the 50 best inventions of 2009. In fact, it’s invention No. 5.

From TIME:

Since time immemorial – or at least since Pong – one barrier that has stood between gamers and total Tron-like immersion in their video games has been the controller: the joystick, trackball, mouse, light gun or whatever. This year Microsoft demonstrated a technology, code-named Project Natal, that enables players to control games using only body movements and voice commands, no controller required – the gamer’s body becomes the controller. Project Natal uses several cameras, plus a highly specialized microphone and a lot of fancy software, to track the gamer’s body and interpret his or her voice. You move your hand, and the Master Chief (or whoever) moves his hand. It’s that simple. And that cool.

It’s still up in the air when Microsoft plans to release Natal to the gaming world. Predictions are late 2010 or early 2011. (Update: MCV reports that Project Natal will be set for release in November 2010 for about $80.)

Dennis Durkin, CEO of Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Division, told investors during a conference call Thursday that Microsoft started talking to third-party game developers about Natal in February.

“Part of the reason we announced it at E3 and before we were ready to launch it,” Durkin said, referring to June’s Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, “was to get third-party developers in line.”

He confirmed again that Natal will work with all existing Xbox 360s.

“This is like a relaunch in the middle of a console generation,” Durkin said.

Nissan Leaf Included in Time Magazine’s 50 Best Inventions of 2009

nissan leaf

nissan leaf

Nissan changed the game for automakers planning electric vehicles in August when it unveiled the Leaf. The all-electric C-segment vehicle travels at speeds up to 90 miles per hour and goes 100 miles on a full charge. Nissan says it will only take 30 minutes to charge the batteries to 80% of their capacity at a high-power charging station. The Leaf is expected to sell for between $35,000 and $45,000.

The car won’t hit production lines until the fall of 2010, but that didn’t stop Time Magazine from calling it one of the best inventions of 2009. Even more significant, perhaps, is how much interest the Leaf has generated with Time’s readers. When asked to rank each invention on a 100-point scale, the respondents gave the Leaf an average ranking of 75, making it the 10th most important invention on the list. The electric eye took the top spot, followed closely by the $10 million light bulb and the solar shingle.

This is good news for Japan’s third largest automaker. Though we’ve been hearing about the Chevy Volt for years now, Nissan dropped the Leaf just a few months ago and it’s already earning accolades. Everyday, the future of green transportation looks brighter (but maybe not as bright as the aforementioned light bulb).

Bud-light Speaker Box

Bud light speaker box

Bud light speaker box

The Bud Light Speaker Box can be found in specially marked Bud Light 24 packs. The idea is that you hook up your MP3 player to the case of beer and then crank up the music. The only downside is that you’ll have to drink the Bud Light, but a small price to pay for having beer and music in one covenant package.

Here’s the rest of what Bud Light is offering.

I know that some animal rights group will groan about the Tailgate Companion. But it’s a way to get your best friend involved in the tailgating festivities. The Tailgate Companion just straps onto your dog’s back and is able to hold condiments, tongs and, most importantly, your beer which your dog can bring to you.

Much better than slippers right? Now before some hippie cries foul, I should mention that the Bud Light site links you up to Petfinder, after you put in your zip, so you can adopt a local dog that needs a home. A win-win if you ask me.

There’s also some junk, like the Natural Fake Grass Can Coozie, which I can live without, and the Foozie, which is kinda cool. The Foozie, at first, seems like your average foam finger, but it has a spot to put your beer in, which will make your foam fingered acquentices just a little envious.

Finally, there’s the Condiment Gun. It looks like a caulk gun, except this bad boy holds ketchup, mustard and relish so you can easily add your condiments to hot dogs, burgers, etc. The downside is that they’re only making one of them and you have to bid on it starting on November 23.

Where can I find a Zhu Zhu

zhu-zhu-pets in stock

zhu zhu pets

There’s a new toy in town.  This Christmas, kids and adults across America will be pestering Santa Claus for their own Zhu Zhu Pet hamster, a new “smart” toy somewhat reminiscent of last decade’s lovable talking Furby.

Looking more like a child’s furry slipper than a real hamster, the Zhu Zhu seems to have the same kind of sensors that make the Roomba vacuum cleaner work, so when the critters are dropped into their habitat (sold separately), they appear to navigate about as well as a living rodent. There is a level of artificial intelligence in the Zhu Zhu’s OS and it can make over 40 noises depending on the stimuli. The little Zhu Zhus appear to have minds of their own as they dart around the room, zip up the ramps of their habitat and ride in their own little cars. It’s actually a pretty amazing toy and unlike real hamsters won’t poop, smell funny or procreate furiously!

There’s only one problem with the Zhu Zhu Pets: and that is that there aren’t enough of them to meet the demand. They’re showing up on EBay and via Amazon Marketplace dealers at vastly inflated prices. But it’s not like the Zhu Zhu Pets are an endangered species, so you might want towait until they show up again on the shelves of your local retailer at their normal $9.95 list price

What is Gizmo5 ?

Gizmo5 is a VoiP application..

Gizmo5’s interface is compact and rectangular, with tabs on the top just below the Menu bar and a series of  commands like Chat and Add Contact available at the bottom. There are very few differences between Gizmo’s design and its biggest competitor’s, and a little originality could’ve gone a long way here.

Also similar to Skype, Gizmo provides free VoIP for computer-to-computer voice chatting as well as text chatting. It also allows for computer-to-telephone voice chatting for both mobile phones and landlines. It has one feature that Skype lacks: it lets you conference call with multiple PCs by entering in a random, shared number. Overall, the sound clarity and quality was excellent, with no lagging nor echoing. Gizmo also says it provides asymmetrical chat-client VoIP, so you can use Gizmo and your headset to talk to somebody on Windows Live or Google Talk. We couldn’t get that feature to work, but it’s a smart idea and we hope it gets debugged soon. Read more »
